Guided Medical Travel only refers clients to fully licensed, vetted doctors and clinics. Providers must show proof of their medical diploma, current professional license, specialty certifications, and good standing with medical boards. We also visit each clinic and surgical site in person to ensure the highest quality of care.

Absolutely! After your consultation, we provide options for providers that fit your needs, along with access to their social media accounts, testimonials, and before-and-after photos. Once you choose a provider, we’ll also help arrange an initial consultation so you can see if they’re the right fit.

Before the Trip

To travel to Mexico, you’ll need a valid U.S. or Canadian passport. Most U.S. and Canadian citizens can obtain a visa quickly online, and our concierge team will guide you through the process to make it easy and stress-free.

Once you choose a provider and after an initial consultation, you can provide medical records directly to the provider. However, all necessary pre-surgery tests and procedures can be arranged in Mexico 1-2 days prior.

Consultations with medical and dental providers are usually scheduled within a week, while surgical procedures are typically booked 2–4 weeks in advance. We recommend planning your medical tourism trip at least two months ahead to ensure everything is arranged smoothly.

Pack essentials like your passport, medical records, medications, and comfortable clothing. It’s also helpful to bring personal items for recovery, such as toiletries, loose-fitting clothes, and any items that make you feel comfortable during your stay.

Absolutely, we will facilitate a direct line of communication with the provider. Most doctors in Mexico will provide a direct cell number and can directly answer questions without the need for setting appointments or waiting too long.

You may choose to follow up care with your primary care provider in the US or Canada. Providers in Mexico can provide all records for you and can coordinate with the PCP if needed.

Guided Medical Travel only works with reputable, fully licensed doctors and clinics, ensuring safe, high-quality care that meets international standards. Many of the same pharmaceutical companies that supply the U.S. also manufacture in Mexico.
